GVB day-tickets

If you would like to travel using public transportation, you can pay using your card. Make sure to scan your card once you get on the metro/bus/tram and once you get out. If you’re staying in Amsterdam for a few days, your best buy is a multiple-Day Ticket – this is the most inexpensive option.

1-Day Ticket. This ticket is valid for 24 hours after your first check-in. Within those 24 hours, you can transfer and check in and out as many times as you like. This 1-Day Ticket can also be bought on the tram or bus, from the driver or ticket collector. Keep in mind, though, that on the tram or bus you can only pay by card.

Recently GVB also introduced a new app: Gappie App
Once installed on your mobile device you'll be able to purchase tickets through your phone and the application can also aid you to navigate through Amsterdam.

The Gappie App includes:
- Navigation
- Ticket portal, once you've bought a ticket you'll receive a barcode which will serve as a ticket.(Valid on GVB-branded busses, trams and subways)

- If your journey takes you outside of Amsterdam the app will also inform you which busses or trains to transfer to.
