From the beginning, we have worked really hard to alleviate and minimise the ecological footprint of our hotels design, construction and maintenance. For example, our building generates a large part of its needed energy itself, has an integrated system for sustainable heating and cooling and is fitted with water-saving showerheads, toilets, taps and faucets. We also separate our waste, avoid printing unless strictly necessary and use ecologically friendly products and methods for cleaning, washing and even fire extinguishing.
These and other efforts are recognised in a Green Key certificate, going beyond the sustainability criteria for hotels as established by the Municipality of Amsterdam. Also, we are proud TWENTY EIGHT is awarded a Golden Green Key certificate for sustainable entrepreneurship in the hospitality industry – only encouraging us to continue to look for further improvements.
